Dear Sir

I am writing as a representative of Legion Katowice – a forming Polish lacrosse team. I was shocked and outraged by the news about Great Britain not honoring Iroqouis passports and preventing your national team from participating in World Championship in Manchester

Poland is a country which had been experienced by history in the past. From 1790s to 1918 our country was nowhere to be found on the world maps – we were enslaved and conquered by other powers. From 1939 to 1945 we suffered under Nazi occupation and until 1989 we were heavily influenced by the USSR.

Based on such experience, we can relate to your struggle for maintaining your political and cultural identity. We admire your stance on the subject and your dedication to your beliefs. As fellow lacrosse players we are also saddened by the fact that you were unable to participate in one of the most important lacrosse events in the world.

As I stated before, we are outraged by the British ruling and we offer you our full support on the matter. We hope that this is the last and final example of such discrimination and that in the future no nation will suffer such belittlement and humiliation. Once again I would like to express support on behalf on the Legion Katowice lacrosse team.

Yours faithfully,
Maciej Bożek
Captain, Legion Katowice

Dear Iroquois Nationals Supporters:

In case you missed it, here's some of the news from yesterday and early today (below).  We've highlighted a couple of key stories you might like to read or watch out of the absolute deluge of media that's out there.

Where we stand today:  The UK still will not grant the Iroquois Nationals visas, although we hear that there is positive movement within that government thanks to the diplomatic efforts of the Haudenosaunee leaders and public pressure from around the world.  We hope that they will come through in time for the team to get on a plane and get to its second match.

You can help grow that pressure:  Contact the Prime Minister David Cameron

-----------------------------
Dear Prime Minister:

I am writing you to urge you to intercede to allow the Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse team entry into Great Britain to take part in the world lacrosse championship tournament. The United States Secretary of State has agreed to grant the team a waiver to re-enter the United States at the end of the tournament, which appears to satisfy the concerns originally expressed by the United Kingdom consulate in New York.

It undermines the integrity and validity of the lacrosse tournament to bar the participation of the inventors of the game, a team that is ranked fourth in the world. The team is prepared to fly to England and compete in the remaining games in the tournament as soon as they receive authorization from your government.

The Iroquois confederacy has a long relationship with the United Kingdom, dating back to a treaty signed with Queen Anne in 1701. We urge you to instruct the appropriate agencies in your government to accommodate the Iroquois Nationals entry into Britain and await your reply.

Sincerely,
